I'm taking my 23 inch rims off for the winter and plan to put on the stock rims. Here are my two questions:

I have a 99 Eddie Bauer and the owner gave me rims that aren't the 17 inch chrome rims that I thought EBs came stock with. They are the non chrome swirling rims that most XLTs have. What size rim is this? I'd just go measure them, but I have them stored at my parent's house.

With my 23 inch rims, my expy has a very hard/ mean look to it. I like the look of filling up the entire wheel well plus the added height. I don't wanna put the stock rims on and have it look puny. I'd want the largest AT tires I can fit on it. What's the largest size tires I can put on it with my stock rims?

They are probably 17" factory rims. But measure to be sure.

 

those are 17s...go with a 285/70/17 off road tire...looks tough, good in snow. Do you have LLS? if so I have heard that might rub. If you dont have LLS it will fit fine.

 

thanks for the info. i was leaning towards the 285 size anyway.

and no, oddly enough my EB doesn't have the LLS. was that an option or did the previous owner take it off? either way i'm glad it doesn't have it. my 96 limited explorer has it and will lean in turns more than my expy. it's nice for towing, but def not needed.
