Hi, I have a portrait picture and I need to print it at a specific size in order to fit a passport. Right now the head is slightly too large for the passport and I need shrink the size of the picture by maybe 80%.
How can I print the picture at 80% size? When I click on print, it doesn't give me the option of selecting the size of my print. Thanks
Back in the good old days when I got mine, the local newspaper editor took the photo for me. He knew exactly what size to make the pic, and exactly where to have me sit. (It was a little side-line business for him) Ahhhhh. Small town life.
I'm not sure about the US, (been a while since I've had mine done.) I know my wife just had her Canadian PP pics done and they had a little different format than the US, plus it needed to be notorized. It's really easier to to have it done by someone that's used to what the requirements are, (Walgreens does pics for about $10). That way, when the officials look at the pic, it doesn't raise any red flags. (Like, they don't want you looking happy and, "what's with the fancy background?") Even if it passes the PP inspection, there's the risk of hold ups at customs.
My wife had her set of pics kicked back by the Canadian gov. this last time. What's the difference between the Canuks and the US when this happens? Well, the major difference was the Canadians sent her a check, in US funds, to cover the expense. I don't think that happens here...
