Have a problem thats killing me. I saved a 78 (?) (door plate said 1978) Bronco from the crusher and pulled the drivers bracket from it, there was another bracket in the back I figured that it was the pass.
I get home and begin to fit them in my 77 350
The drivers side fits well (only 1 hole) but there is at least an inch difference in the heights (right side is higher)
Alright, the passengers is way screwed up. I figure that it tilts from back towards the front, but there is a 2.75 inch difference in the bottom of the rear section of the bracket, and the fronts are both curved downwards. Did I get the wrong year truck??? Getting dark, camera had a hard time focousing in on it, but you can see the measuring tape and the curved front ends
I mounted a set of 87 cougar seats in the front of my 76 Crew cab what I did was I cut the foot mount off the old front seat I then bolted them down in there stock location I took 3/4"x3/4" square tube and noched it so it was close to even with the top of th bracket i then welded it to the bench feet for the back of the brackets I welded the tube to the top of the feet but I had to step the back runner up so I cut the 3/4" tube and weled another on top of that I then welded the bucket sliders to the new mounts I put a seat in the middle you may want a councule
good luck
