Diff Tags

Hey everybody, I'm kinda new and i wanted to thank everybody for bein so great welcoming me. Thanks. Alright, does anybody know how to decipher diff tags? Just trying to figure out your gear ratio is a mensa puzzle or something. I pulled one off my dana 60 rear and it reads as follows: 3 54 D6TA KGA
603716 20
Can anyone tell me what gear ratio ive got, or where i could find a key or something? Thanks.

try the differential forum.

but i can tell you it is a 3.54 open rear

all that info on that plate except the 3.54 part is considered Ford casting plant & bearing size info.

You will need those other numbers if you have to replace the bearings someday.

also contains the spline count and the date it was made.

Kit, 603716 20 equates to a Ford Model 60 Rear axle was built for a 1977 1/2- 78 F-250 3/4 Ton HD 4x2 Pick-up - Full-Float , the gears are Standard 3.54 gear ratio.
