engine noise
I was driving to town this morning and i started hearing this noise so i got out and listened and it was this loud almost high pitched knock, i took it to a guy i know who used to be a mechanic and said he thinks it is the fly wheel but i just replaced it last year when i rebuilt the tranny. if it is the flywheel what causes it, i dont really know. It still starts fine and idles and doesnt sound like it is missing. anyone have an idea why it would go out or if it could be somthing else. thanks

Had a high pitched squeal with a knock coming from a friend's 351 Cleveland, his bearings on the #7 or #8 piston (I don't remember which) had spun, so before you drive it too far I'd check it out further, you don't want to be grinding down that crank while you're driving
