1986 stock wheels

Hi Guys,

I have an 86 F150 4x2 with stock wheels...

Currently have 235/75/15 tires on but Would like to go bigger if possible...
Is it poss and how big could I go without replacing the wheels...

yes you can go bigger but your off the line power will be reduced and your braking distance will be longer.

I have 31x10.50x15's on my 86 150, the wider tire looks great, but cuts down on turning ability.

I know 31's arent that big, but that's a start

I think 30" is as large as you can go without a lift or other mods. Any larger and things start to rub.

33 inch is as large as you can do around, but no wider that 11.5 inches with a factory 4x4 2wd dont exceed 31 inches with 11.5 wide. they might not look it...but in fact a 4wd is high up than a 2wd. my 2wd has a body lift (no i didn't put it on) and my 4wd is stock...my 4wd still sits higher....

Mostly depends on the condition of the springs, I have had 80-86 trucks that rub,with 235's on 15x8 rims, when you go over a bump.

I have 265/70/15s on my 84 f150 2wd and i have had no problems with anything. the truck is bone stock.
