Rear End

Hey guys i have a 1986 F150, cant stand that it has regualar diffs, anyone have any input where i can get two ls posi diffs for this truck?? Also i just want to replace the diffs not the axles how much work is this going to be? I replaced the rear gears on my mustang about the same amount of work?

Do a search here. There's a ton of info here. It depends on what you use the truck for. A trail rig is going to have different requirements than a daily driver on pavement.

I would just weld them up, but thats me and the way I use my truck. Ls are about worthless in the mud, but the best bet in the ice and snow. Lockers and spools are the best in mud, but squirley in the ice and rain. LS and Lockers also are expensive. So it all depends on what you want to do, and how much you are willing to spend.
