hi all, first time using this type of forum, but have lots of automotive knowledge. grew up during the end of the muscle car era, now working as a fleet mechanic with the local(san diego)utility company. my dad died recently and left me with a 88 bronco II, 2.9l 2wd auto. i never really even looked under the hood of this machine until today, when i drove it home. it overheated, and had a large leak in the radiator. it didn't get super hot, but got me thinking. i've read the postings on head gaskets and intake manifold leaks, but did not see any on oil in the coolant. the oil in the crankcase looks and smells fine, but the radiator has some nasty goop in it, and it looks like oil. the engine runs great, no miss, decent idle, and plenty of power. any ideas on which way i should go with it? thanks in advance for any advice-dan

Hello seabee1. I also joined today - and almost selected a seabee oriented user name as well - go figure. So were you CM or perhaps EO? I was a BU from '82 - '89 with a tour in NMCB 74 and tours in Antigua and Pearl Harbor too.
