'79 Bronco
Hello I am new to Fordtrucks.com A friend of mine told me about this site after I bought a '79 Bronco about a week ago. I dont really know much about Ford trucks but for $500 I couldn't resist. All I know about it is it has a 400ci. in it & it has very little rust , frame is super solid & this is very rare for an old truck in Maine. the tranny slips alittle between 2nd & 3rd( auto trans). Is my tranny junk????? I want to lift this truck & I am not sure what the bet way to go about it. Does anyone have one of these trucks??? It is a '79 Bronce Ranger XLT 400ci. I need info!!! thanx alot!

hi
you got a good deal! I have just like it for work. They are really good for pulling and getting around where other full lenght pickups can't. if you lift it make sure that it is very stiff. cornering can be alittle fun other wise. use dual shocks and strong sway bars. there are many knolwdgeable people on this site that hepled me alot. that 400 is a good engine!
