Cold Starts

I have a 1995 F250 with the 7.3 Powerstroke. On cold mornings I have to turn the key on about 10 times to cycle the glow plugs before it will start. Ford dealer ship service center replaced the glow plugs about a year ago. That did not help in the skightest. Any IDEAS guys.

If the plugs themselves were replace without fixing the problem, I would look to the GPR now. Here is some reading for you. (You will have to copy and paste the link in your broser to get to the correct page.)

What BBJake said. You most likely have a failed glow plug relay.

i had the exact same problem, replaced the glow plug relay and voila! it cranks EASY. also new batteries couldn't hurt if they are Ford originals like mine were (10 year old batteries!)
