Bed Rail Cap Recommendation

I'm looking for bed rail caps, similar to the quality of the late model factory ones, any suggestions.

Thanks,

Mike

Mike-

Welcome. I wanted exactly what you are looking for, and found em. Bushwhacker now makes bed rails, look EXACTLY like new OEM ones- you can get ribbed or smooth, with or without stake pockets- I chose ribbed with stake pockets. They install with 3M tape, and they look GREAT!

They are pretty durable too as far as I can tell. I got the bed rails for $80 and the tailgate cap for another $15 I think. You won't be disappointed. I got mine through www.fourwheelparts.com, but I know Summit carries em too.

Thumbs down bed cap experience on 2000 SD

The previous owner removed the ABS bed caps from my truck. I bought The DeeZee caps (under $80) but found that they are meant to go over the stock caps. They are way too big and aren't spaced properly without the stock caps.

Putco makes the only bed caps I could find that are made to replace the stock caps. I ordered them from TruckCustomizers.com for about $160.

The Quality of these Putco caps Suck!

Where they make the bends the chrome is scrapped off and very rough. the cut edges aren't deburred and are very sharp.

Considering the cost being twice as much as most other brands I am very diappointed...but I needed them and they're the only game in town for my fit.

Check out ebay...DeeZee has a ebay store and they had Camo bedcaps shgipped for $48.

Thanks for the info. I ended up purchasing a pair of Bushwacker's and they're just what I was looking for.
