Axle Code Help
On the AXLE ID tag for a truck I have (1973 F250) it says
3 31 D6TA JZA 6
03744 6
On the other side of the pumpkin there is another tag on the webbing that says 197-73
Then on other parts of the casting it says C-37717
and 61-2
Can anybody help me decode this? I know 3 31 is the ratio and that D6TA is 1976 truck axle from light truck engineering...but what about all of the other numbers?

Axle Code Help
Those other numbers/letters describe what plant it was made at,the date,the bearings,that's all it is mainly for Ford's use.
