Dashboard Lights Dimmer
I replaced the light switch on my '59 Panel because dimmer function didn't work. It still doesn't. Any ideas? I guess things are going pretty well if that's my only problem.

I'm not familiar at all with '59's, but on most cars there are two "parking light" circuits; one that is controlled by the dimmer (for instrument bulbs) and the other is for things that don't get dimmed (parking lights, etc). If your switch uses a plug, I'm wasting my time, but if there are individual wires/lugs, I'm betting you've got the instrument bulbs connected to the wrong post.

does the fuse block connect to the light switch as a 60 does? I found the fuse connection was bad and not the switch when I had a similar problem, I rotated the fuse a few time till it made a better connection and that cured it.
