Re-worked Transfer case
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 20-Apr-02 AT 02:40 PM (EST)]I have a 1977 F-150 4x4 with a 351M/C-6..It has the NP203 Transfer.( Full time 4WD ) I changed the gears in it to make it part time .. What i want to know is what position on the stick will be 2WD ?? As yet iI haven't started the motor..since complete rebuild
Any help would be highly appreciated ....

The easiest way i know of to findout is too put both axles on jackstands with all wheels OFF the ground and simply move the selector thru all positions and see what you have---No guessing and no broken parts this way!!!!fd

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 20-Apr-02 AT 06:54 PM (EST)]my 77 with the conversion done to my full time case has 2wd in the first position on each side of neutral. When it is in the far position (lock on the ****) it is locked in to 4wd. The conversion gives you a low 2wd gear. So to try and make this make sense, when you have pulled the stick all the way towards the seat, you are in 4wd high, one click forward, 2wd high, one more click, neutral, one more click forwrd,2wd low, one more click, as far forward as it will go, 4wd low. Hope this reply makes sense.
