Could someone please tell me (if) where the front passenger airbag disable switch is located, and what I'll need to disable it, on a 2001 f150? Thanks!!
On my 2001 its on the right side of the radio under the panel vent. it should have a key hole for your key. All you have to do is put your ignition key in it and turn it to the right and remove the key while still holding it to the right. then the light next to the key hole should light up and say off . When you start up your truck the off light might go out for a second and then come on and stay on. if it doesnt stay on then you didnt shut it off. I should also point out that the light wont light up until you start your truck up.

Okay, guys, I see that I neglected to mention that I have the '01 F150 SuperCrew. Someone else has told me that the SuperCrews don't have this feature. Is that true, or is there some other way to disable the switch? Thanks!!
The reason the switch is there only in supercab and reg. cab pickups is to safely hold a babyseat, small children or a passenger with a medical excuse. It is illegal to disable an airbag by any other means than a factory provided shut off switch. The passenger side airbag in a super cab and reg cab should not be shut off except for the use of a baby seat, children or passenger with a medical excuse to have it shut off. In any vehicle with full size rear doors anyone at risk of being injured by an airbag belongs in the rear seat, therefore, there is no need for a shut off switch.

That's kind of what I thought. The kids always ride in the back, but we've got a situation coming up when four kids might need to ride in the truck. To accomodate all, we thought about putting the oldest in the front seat. Looks like we won't be doing that, though!
