Tire Size?

hey, i am new to the site and was wondering if anyone could help me with tire sizes? (not sure if any one is into off road but i figured i would check) i have a 1978 ford F250 with a 3 inch body lift and one ton axles so i have the 16 in wheels. what is the biggest tire i ca fit on this truck an the moment with minor mods? i would like to eventually go to a 4 in suspension lift and 39.5's.

It's hard to say for sure because there are so many variables but I'd guess you could probably clear 35's okay.

yeah i am pretty sure i can get a 35 under there i think my biggest concern is going to be the width.

You should have no problems with 35's i have a 76 Hiboy and is running 35/12.50/16's with no lift.

you can run 36's easy....if your willing to trim the corners of your fenders, 38's will fit easy

38's? sweet! thats what i was looking for! i have no problem trimming the fenders at all! do i just get the tires and trim to fit? thanx for the help everyone!

I'd suggest betting some bushwacker cutt out flaires that would work pretty good, but you could just do a sawsall special and cut up to where the lower trim is(if you have it, usually a ranger xlt race track package).
