Annoying Intake Noise!
i installed an Air-Aid intake system on my 4.2L and have noticed a loud "hissing" noise which doesn't seem right. i hear is when the truck is choked especially, but i assume that is normal. where is gets me most is when i am on the highway and only applying soft pressure on the throttle but goes away when accelerating. am i being too picky or is this normal???

Yes, my K&N does the same thing, it's just the harmonics inside the intake tubing when the throttle body closes and changes the flow path of the air. This all also happens inside your stock system, but the air silencer over the filter and plastic intake tubing with ridges deafens this sound.
