Question Where does this hose connect?

I replaced my shocks on the rear yesterday and while underneath the truck I discovered a loose hose (If you are standing behind the truck it connects on the top part on the rear axle left of the pumpkin) hose is clamped on the top of the pumpkin unable to figure out where it connects too. Doesn't seem to affect my braking abilities. Please advise?

sounds like the breather tube for the differential. on my trucks, there is a small clip on end of the hose. it's clipped to the top of the frame rail.

Yeah, it is the vent hose and should be attached to the axle and go up to the bottom of the bed. If your truck is like most, the hose has probably broken off of the axle end and is just hanging from the bottom of the bed.
