Couple questions

i am looking at a used 03 f250 ., will it have the 7.3 or the 6.0 ? when did the 7.3 go away.?

how is the trannie behind these motors ?

The first half of the build year had the 7.3, the second was the 6.0.
I have read on here that there were some problems with the first year of the 6.0. You can browse through that forum and have a look-see.
I have the '03 7.3 and love it. Yes, I've heard that the trannies aren't the best they could be but then again, I don't plan to do any sled pulling at the monster truck show.

i am also lookin at a 03 chevy also., i really like the Allison trannie...

thanks. i do not want the 4 speed auto then., i hear they are crap., the 5 speed is better and downshifts to slow as well ?? like the allison ..

i have to see them and see if it is the 7.3 or the 6.0 then.,
