little drip turned into a big leak!!!

Yes, it was the weep hole in the waterpump. Started as a little drip for about a week. Then all of a sudden it would pour out!! Well, got a new pump, with lifetime a warrenty, for 140.27, at a local parts store I've used for years. I also ordered the 203* stat for our trucks and put it in at the same time. the stat housing was in good shape. I just cleaned it up a but. I got it all back together and not one leak, and on the first try. No silicone on the gasket. I hate that stuff. Just a little dab of grease to smoothe and soften things up and it went together with ease. just a dab on the stat gasket too. I did tighten the bolts in 3 different stages. Just snugged up, then to 15lbs, then to 25lbs. 30 something seems way to much, or whatever it was I was reading the books say. Anyway, not one leak. It's not like I haven't ever turned a wrench or two, but no leaks is always good. After reading all the posts about how much trouble people had I was a bit nervous.
Now I can't wait to order a new 4" exhaust and guages and put it all on!!!!
Anyway, I just had to tell someone. The wife looked at me like "what's the big deal???", and could care less about mods to the truck. Oh, she loves the things like remote starter, grill guard, and stuff I do to her little blazer.
For anybody attempting this on their own. Autozone loans a "Fan clutch service kit" that has several different wrench sizes for fan removal and to I think hold the pulley. A buddy of mine made his own and I borrowed it.
Hope this helps someone!!
