Whats the differance???

Well its been a while since I posted a silly question so here goes...
I would like to know if there is any advantage to shimming the FPR if you have done a "clamp" mod??? I dunno if there is an added benifit...
I would like to also know if anyone has noticed any hard shifting with the clamp mod?
Just as an FYI,
I just had a new set of Cooper DIscoverer ATS tires put on my 01 4x4 psd. I chose these again because first of all they are made here in the good old USA and secondly I got over 60k on the last set... ( not to bad for a guy that doesent rotate his tire often enough...o.k. NEVER)

I've been looking at a set of Discoverer ATR's. Good looking tire....definitely worth a second look if I can get 60K out of them.

I couldn't find the Cooper ATS but did find Discoverer Radial STT.
Any word on them? Nice tread....

I've got a set of the Cooper S/T on my F-150 and I really like them. I've got a couple friends running with the STT and have been happy with them.

STT's are loud, but if you're looking for a mud tire they work well.
