Does anyone know if Ford can pull up a "factory options list" or build sheet or anything like that off of a vin number??? I went into the Jeep dealer for my wifes Grand Cherokee, and they printed off a 3 page list, of everything that it had on from the factory, right down to the 3 gallons or however much it had when it left the plant.
The guy at the Ford parts counter had no clue what i was talking about. I would just like to see what my truck had/has, mainly for piece of mind.
Thanks!

I *Believe* you can have a new Window Sticker made. My father bought a new Ford truck about 10 years ago, and it was a trade for another truck. The dealer lost the window sticker somewhere and Ford made a new one. I would as the dealer about making a new one.
Don't know about the newer ones, but I have found factory build sheets in the seat back springs of both a 66 and a 72. These sheets were supposed to follow the truck down the line and be placed in it at the end. They listed every single option and piece of equipment when there was a choice, that was supposed to be built on that particular truck. The one from the 66 was blank, don't know why.I am trying to reproduce it as a template. International also used build sheets. They are EXTREMLY important in trying to restore a IH, as they were the worst about using whatever was on hand and having unlimited part combinations available, or so it seemed.

I have some information compiled on this topic on my site. Here is a handy link to my page. Click the Ford Records link once there.

Your fears are correct, Ford can offer no assistance on pre-67 vehicles. As noted though, the "build sheet" or Truck Specification List as Ford called it, was put in some trucks. I say some trucks because as near as I can determine, this practice was not anything official. Some trucks may have it, some may not. Also, the earliest truck spec. list I have seen is dated July 66 which suggests that the spec list was created late in the 66 model year and it may have found it's way into very few 66 models off the line. I'd be very interested to see any 66 or 67 build sheets.
