they are the same....curious though....how/where are you going to cut the roof.....they usually rust out where 2 or 3 different panels are coming togeather....
Its rusted on the drip rail above the windshield. I don't know how I am going to do it, but if it interchangeable among different years, then my chances of finding a roof in good condition are better.
There is some stuff out if the area is not to large that is liguid takes 2 chemicals lt mixes like epoxy and can get powder with it when mixed becomes like bondo and can be applyed like bondo if larger area can use fiberglass backing and this stuff stops the rust also at the same time. After applied it hardens quickly and can be sanded down to match in with body then your ready for prime and paint.I will find out what the name of it is and get back with you. This stuff is a dream come true for restoring and may save you a lot of time and money!!!!
Hi Nick, Don't have any idea what they will do out on the left coast. You'll have to get out and beat the bushes and see what shakes out. You could luck out and find one for $50.00 or someone give it to you to get rid of it to someone wanting several hundred bucks.
They are out there and available, ya just gotta look. IMHO
