Off subject truck help!?!?!?!
here is the story.... im looking at a 1999 ford f-350 v-10 4x4 with the {half} crew cab. and i need to know how strong the frames are on these puppys. because im looking at a crashed up 1 for sale right now. it looks like he lost controll and went into a didtch. the side fenders are smashed in along with the bumber and grille.. stuff like that. but thats about it. the hood is fine but the suspention on the drivers side is messed up. and thats the side with less damage. but i look underneth and i couldnt see any bends to the frame. but i saw that the driveshaft was out. what could that mean??? but the bed and doors besides sum scrapes are good. it needs work but it can be done.
but to sum it up here are the ?'s agin
1. how strong are these frames,,, do you think this 1 could be bent?
2. why whould they have took out the drive shaft???
3. would it be easy to replace these pannels and sum other things on the truck?
4. why would the suspention be bad on the side of the truck with less damage?
5. is it worth it??? it has power doors windows seats with cd player. leather seats. and has the ext. bed.
6. are there any easy ways to tell if the frame is bent without getting to technical with #'s or anything like that.
7. would the tranny or motor be damaged form the crash?
8. how much HP and tourqe did these trucks have stock?
9. and is there anything else i should look for when i go to look at it tommorow????
any help would be awsome guys
thanks alot
mitch
sorry its not in the right catagory.. but i didnt get any reply from them guys and i know u guys know summin and would tell me. sorry and thanks.lol
2. driveshaft was took out by the tow truck driver, probably
4. when winching a truck out of the ditch, if the owner/driver of the vehicle is being "difficult" the tow truck driver won't care where on the vehicle he hooks to, hence damage to suspension on undamaged side of truck...I've heard stories anyway

1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, with a truck with this much damage there are few if no EASY ways to inspect it without getting technical...
