4x4 shock mount

Hi guys,
Yesterday I finally got round to taking the front clip off my 78 and going to work on the cab mounts. The large hollow sections that are welded onto the cab itself were all but totally gone on both sides. Luckily I salvaged a pair from an old cab I had that oddly enough was good for little else. While I was at it, I decided it was time for new front shocks as well which was when I sadly found one of my shock mounts to be broken completely in two pieces. I'm just wondering if there is a source for these anywhere or if it's time to start fabbing up something to replace it. The original is so badly cracked I don't think it's worth trying to weld back together. The truck is a four wheel drive so the shock mounts are seperate units bolted onto the frame. Any thoughts, or past experience is most welcome.

Try posting in the 4 wheel drive and off-road forum. There are a lotta guys there who can't leave well enough alone. LOL

Simple economics dictate that I shop the local bone yard. Have you searched our sponser sites yet? Lots of goodies there also.

I agree with Hypoid, check junk yards, or if you want to spend more money and get some new ones, check Broncograveyard.
