Transfer Case Q's
Any body know the drive ratio in a transfer case in the hi, lo range. I assume the hi is 1:1 the low must be 5:1 or something but would like to know the specs if anyone has them. the transfer case if it matters is of an 88 f 250 7.3 L 4x4 ZF 5 speed. Thanks again

Borg Warner 1345 transfer case
Aluminum case
High range is 1 to 1
Low range is 2.72 to 1
I think there were a few Borg Warner 1356 transfer cases in 88, but the gear ratios are the same.
The 1356 has a magnesium case
