anyone have problem with shudder when truck is cold in the morning, when like back out of drive way and take off. might not be bad problem now but i was thinking about down the road when the warranty runs out, any response will be appreciated. thanks guys
My '04 Lariat SCAB had exactly the same problem, when cold, backing out of the driveway and turning left or right produced a slight shudder from the rear end.
I'm assuming your truck has a limited slip rear end. I've had my truck in twice for this and there is a TSB for this problem. Both times they replaced the clutch packs and added friction modifier. My problem reocurred after approximately 5000 miles and I have just had the same thing done again. Good so far.
My suggestion is to take it to your dealer, tell them what its doing and they will probably want you to leave it over night so they can try to duplicate the problem and hopefully take care of you.
Mine is doing the same thing. It has 18,000 miles on it and it started about 1500 miles ago. I told the service manger and he told me to bring it in. FISHEAD
Mine is at the dealer right now for this...for the second time. I have 15000 on mine, its been doing it for at least the last 10000 miles. They are telling me its the tires and are actually going to put new ones on. As silly as that sounds, at least Im getting new tires out of the deal...so far anyway. I think we all know its not the tires.....
