flex pipe
My exhaust pipe seperated out in the bush and I damaged the pipe in front of the muffler connecting to manifolds- kinked the pipe so now is no good. How good is flex pipe? I need to redo the bend and I live 100 km away from a muffler shop. Truck is 76 F-250 with 460.
Also broke off a flange stud when taking out the pipe. Would I be better off trying to weld in stud then to try to get broken one out, not sure how easy the mannifold bolts will come out- afraid to try- any pointers to make sure I do ot break them off>

are you handy with a torch and do you have one ? did the stud break off flush, or is there enough of it sticking out to grab on to? do you have a mig welder ?or a friend that has ? the best way to work on it is to remove the manifold from the trusk to a work bench with a vise.
