I'm having trouble locating a pto to fit my truck, I found this site via a google search, I saw the engine & trans assembly that christopher had, but I'm to early in my account to email him. Does anyone have one for sale or have a proper PN that would make my search any easier? Thanks, Dev

I don't think Ford ever made PTO units. So few guys here may have the part number information for you. I thnk most PTO units in that era were Chelsea, some were Muncie, and there may have been some other manufactures.
For a new unit you can find application information at the Chelsea web site:
As far as finding a used unit that fits, the six bolt mounting is quite universal. The issue is getting the proper gear mesh. You might be able to find a local truck equipmet dealer with some old catalogs that can give you model number applications for your T-98.

Look around for early to late 50s Ford trucks, F4 and larger. Many of these had T98 with PTOs, especially if they had a dump bed. Check old salvage yards, they may have some old T98s laying around with the PTO still attached.
