I have an '05 F250 CC Lariat with the 6.0 Diesel. I ordered it with the trailer brake controller, but didn't know about the upfitter switches as it was one of the first '05's ordered. I was able to buy the switch block seperately, but couldn't find the plug-in for the back of the unit when I installed it. I'd like to know if the wiring harness does indeed have the plug for the switches or is it an aftermarket install and what part number I might find it under.
Search upfitters here and find the posts that had all the part numbers.
It is a two part plug and play system
Part one you already have is the switch assy it self
You also need the main harness and control box (sorry I don't remember the part number)
The control box mounts inside your main glove box on the roof above the box.
The whole shebang jacks in to a port on the back of your main fuse panel in front of your left knee.
The switches just snap into the recess next to your ITBC
No real reason to pull the entire dash cover as it all can be installed from below although pulling the dash can make routing all the harness wires a bit easier.
You could flip to glove box down and see if the relay/fuse block is there. If it is the plug must be somewhere, if not you need 5C3Z-14A303-AA wire harness
Your talking about the fuse box (4 10mm bolts) does this need to be removed for access to the leads. Man iv'e LOOKED & do not see them, unless they are behind the box
They are right above it. Thet are bundles together with grey tape. You will see the multi colored wires. The have black dipped ends to cover the bare wire tips.
