Hey guys. Well im back at it again. I have been trying to get my bed's lights straightend out here lately, and have had no luck what so ever. I have 2 problems: 1 being the wire colors do not match, and 2 they are pretty messed up. I would like to find a good wiring harness for the bed, with connector, from the back of the cab to the lights. All the trucks that i look at are either in as bad as or worse condition, or are already gone. If anyone has an idea, then tell me. Or if one of you have a good one sitting around, id be glad to take it off your hands.
I gave up on mine and gave up on finding a good one because all the ones I found were about as bad as mine was.
I bought a 4 wire 25 foot trailer wire set from the local auto parts place for about $15 and bought some heat srink tube and found some good connection tips at the junk yards.
I made the whole thing in less than one day and it works great. The important thing is that you get a good connection and use the srink tube. the upside is that you have all new wires and didn't spend a lot.
