well,i have a 87' crown vic with a h.o. 5.0 and AOD the frame is a trailing arm rear suspention and the front is IFS ,lets say its been masaged but wut do i do to put my truck body on the frame? i know the frame needs to be shortened and the engine is EFI.how aboot steering wut column i use, tell me wut yall think, thx
I think that would be a sweet set-up. You would be able to sit the thing on the ground, and still have a smooth, nice handling ride. As for putting the truck on the body, that's just something that is going to need a lot of measurement, and research, but in the end you really just have to jump in, and see what you come up with. Unless by some rare circumstance you find someone that has done it onto that chassis in the past. I can tell you that the steering column will end up being way down the list on obstacles that you'll need to overcome. Just my .02.

the exact frame is from a 87 crown vic ltd wagon,so i know it needs to get shortend,i have taken some pics tonight so it should be on my profile soon, thx for all the help,i have a question that will probly be moved to the engine forum, but the car has a 5.0 and im wondering is this engine comparitive to any mustang engines?
theres a guy about 5 miles from me that just did a crew with sections of frame from one of those. he just finished it a couple months ago and i have been meaning to go take some pics of it. i'll try to get by there this weekend. he had to tub the front fenderwells because it sits so low with that suspension under it. looks good though.
