Gt F150

I am doing a conversion on my brothers truck, a 1995 6 cyl F150, going with a GT 1986 Mustang engine which will be carburated, what am i going to do about the fuel delivery system? i have the high pressure fuel pumps on the tanks, and i know that is to high for the carb.

If i hook up an inline pump, will it suck thru the in tank pump? or do i have to replace the pumps in the tank? NAPA says it would be easier to add an inline pump for each tank and keep the tank selector as a swith for either pump.

how can i configure this set up where i still have tank selector, fuel gauge display and get the low fuel pressure for the carburetor.

Thanks for the input anyone?

I believe you can buy a fuel regulator that takes the 50 or so psi and turns it down to a more carb friendly psi. I think I seen it in a jegs or summit catalog

You can regulate it down, however by removing the EFI computer there is nothing left to tell the fuel pump to turn on. You'll have to rig up a switch.

You'll not get much pressure trying to draw through the existing EFI fuel pumps.

The pump is at the end of the tubing that hangs off the fuel float/pump assembly. Remove the pump, and make an adapter that reaches into the tank where the pump used to reach.
