I just bought a 79 F250 4x4. I am looking for a supplier for a steering column rebuild kit. The bushing and bearings seem worn out. Also does anyone know where I can get a new, rebuilt ( or get mine rebuilt) shaft that connects the box to the column? And what's that part actually called?
David, I don't know if Ken offers them on the online store, but I have seen Rick rebuilding columns at Carolina Classics, so they carry the parts.

In the cool still quiet of night, you can hear chevies rusting away.
i just ordered a new steering shaft to connect the steering box to the shaft coming from the steering wheel----I have a 77 f250 4x4--and my shaft was 28 inches long---Then i looked in Summit--they have 2 major brands---borgeson and Flaming river---I ordered F.River--because of its design(239.95)---they recommended a 30 inch shaft----Their shaft will compress about 31\2 inches which is a plus in my mind plus the quality is first rate!!!!!!!fd :-X11
