Starting my build

Am I safe to assume that the 87-96 F-150s are the same as far as chassis/suspension??

I have started in on my 88 F-150 (SB, reg cab, 2WD) turning it into what essentially will be my version on a "Lightning" One of the things I want to concentrate on is the suspension/brakes. Granted I am not going to find any real high performance parts for an 88, BUT I KNOW there are all kind of parts for the Gen1 Lightning. My thought is that I can find/order parts made for the 94-96 Lightning and they should bolt right up to the older model truck without too much alterations. AGREE??? DISAGREE??

Second question; Dash and door pannels. Are the mounting locations for the dash and/or door pannels in the same location when they were redesigned in 92? I am considering an interior upgrade.

Third question; I have a 351FI sitting on the stand. My hope is to build a very streetable stroker motor, and still use GT-40 turboswirl heads, and the Lightning Fuel injection. My concern is in the EEC-IV, and if I am picking the wrong heads. Is this possible with these heads, and is the computer going to work or is there something I need to do/get?

Lastly... WHERE CAN I GET GEN 1 PARTS????

I would say that the door panels are the same. The 88 I had seemed to have the fasteners in the same place as my 94 Lightning.
