well, you could be maxed out at stock the way your putting it. you can always go bigger, banana springs, shackle flips, lowering spring hangers, all depends on what you want. not to mentoin, you ever looked at those trucks runnin 3, 4, inch body lifts? i guess if you like to be able to put your head inbetween your cab and frame, go for it, but thats just not me.
OK I know evey one thinks differently and has there own theories, aside from all that does anyone know were i can get bumper brackets for an 88 ford f150 that will have a 3 inch body lift?
WOW!! Me and stevef100s has somthing in common after all.... After we had our big argument about my 300 I-6 vrs. that chevy 350!
Yeah, but you proved me wrong. When the answer is an opinion though, it's tough to be wrong. I did a search for bumper brackets for your truck, but couldn't find any. It seems they only come with all the body lifts when it comes to Ford. I could find several for Chevy.
By the way stevef100s My buddy that said he would pull your bronco total his truck about a week ago. What a mess he was on his way to work and some honda eclipse pulled out in front of him on the highway.
Any one know were i can get some bumper brackets?????
All the body lifts i seen were without bumper brackets. Or a body lift for an 88 ford f150 that come with bumperbrackets??????
Well what's left after rearched/bigger springs, besides blocks? You can only get so much suspension lift from the stock suspension. Although I have seen 9" lift kits, most I've seen are 6". Without investing a ton of money, you're maxed out on your lift. Get it?
lol another off the shelf guy! i got a 6-7" lift out of my less than stock F250 springs! no re-arching, no bana springs.
hey, eveyone has their opinion, just mines right i just wish us ford guys could leave all the half-*** engineering and el cheapo (quality wise, NOT money wise) ways to do things up to the chebby guys. i think everyone will agree with me when i say that if you have a 3-4" gap b/t the frame and body it reall y looks crappy!
hey fishmandotcom I am 18 years old. Everything I have I earned. My mommy and daddy dont buy me "wants". I am not getting smart with you or any thing just saying that my money funds arent exactly suffecient enough for me just to go buy a 9" lift. I have 6inch suspension lift right now ,but I would like to a little go higher!!!! I have decided not to go with a body lift any way.
lol... well join the club! i can't remember last time my parents bought anything for me, so ytou know what i do? i get a job, make some money. and guess what? i am in skool so dont pull that i'm in skool line! trust me i have been there done that but i make do quite well. i learn to do things myself so i dont have to waste money on paying someone.
i mean like i said go ahead and go for the body lift, i could care less i was just trying to get you to find a better way.
o yea, and BTW, i am the absolute LAST person on here that would ever suggest going any higher than 6" of lift!
fishmandotcom I have a job, I only make 1200 dollars a month, im in school, and have to pay insurance to drive the truck, I pay all of my personal expences, and so on. Dont tell me I could be making better money at 18 without having my I/E license. I work at a napa auto care center as a mechanic. But like I said I dont have my I/E license and roll in the money yet like you.
once again, i save and do what i can to pull my junk together. hell you make quite a bit more than i do in a month and i still get by quite easily. maybe you should lay off buying beer or taking the girl shoppin!
at least you decided not to go with a body lift.
may i ask why it is so important to go a few more inches higher? i am just curious and maybe could help come up with some ideas
I would like to snug 37's under my truck so I can go in some of the deeper pits we have here, and in order to do that I will need to be a few inches higher.
