it makes peak horsepower at 3500 rpms, shortly after that it makes nothing. As for the redline, I dont know, I've reved mine to 5400 rpms before, I don't recomend doing that. I wouldn't rev it past 3700.
Whatever the redline is when it limits out I dont know but ive came very close to that. Probably about 8 grand or so, I dont know. I have no tach but what do you think the rpms would be passing a transport truck in 3rd with an E40D tranny at 125km/h, or 75m/h? It sounds pretty powerful but it seems like a lot of wasted energy and it aint gettin to those darn wheels. It still passes pretty good especially when you hit it at its sweet spot especially in overdrive, at about 60miles/hr. Up a hill though it sucks you need that torque in third. I bet first would sound cool! I love the sound of this engine compared to the high winding V8s, The 300 does everything slow and effortlessly. That sure sounds like it will yank a dodge up a mountain.
