There are people in Oakland CA that want this noise! Check this video! Bubba Rubb & Lil Sis can't be wrong!

this noise is only produced on more than half throttle acceleration or hwy speed when accelerating, it is a fluttering buzz which the note (sound) can be changed with throttle position, is it possible its a coil pack arcing out, egr maybe, i couldnt find it , maybe it dont have one or its very well hid,, i complain of the motor pinging alot under load, it will not make the noise power braking, u can watch the mpg drop on the overhead council when its acting up , once stops , mpg start rising, if u grama drive it , it wont make noise, if u work motor 75 mph it will act up, im going to try taking the belt off and beat it, anyone have any ideas , it was at the dealership two days ago , they could figure it out, but i got a new pcv valve out of it, and it goes back tommarrow, but i dont have faith in them and i gota 600 mile trip thursday night

i must be blind , i dont see a egr valve , where is it located , im starting to think it has something to do with the transmission, noise will change tone under a load when the trans shifts, maybe just has to do with a change in vacume since it will also change with throttle position, belt did nothing, unpluged idle control , as many vacume lines as i could find (plugged them) , any other stuff that could be u plugged, all one at a time, nothing helped, it is way worse when motor is cold, harder to get to do it when hot, one other thing i have now noticed , at 35- 65 mph u put pedal to floor trans will down shift motor will screem at 4500 rpm , will not shift untill let off gas, and will not pick up speed , just screems and pings

I doubt very much that its a tranny issue. Mine does it after I installed one of the airraid throttle body spacers when the gas peddle is about 1/4 worth of travel. I can play with the throttle and get it to do it when ever I want treally. It goes away once you floor it or back way off, basically its just a small area of throttle travel.
I havent really investigated it much maybe one of these days.

I hear you...I'm wondering if it's my Series 77 also or if it's the tube refered to in the TSB 02-10-8

High pitch squeal at high RPM and downshift
“At 35- 65 mph u put pedal to floor trans will down shift motor will screem at 4500 rpm , will not shift untill let off gas, and will not pick up speed , just screems and pings.”
I have a 2005 5.4 motor making the same noise under similar conditions. Recently replaced plugs and had fuel system overhauled which improved the down shift response - it will shift with the pedal to the floor without giving a code now, however there is a constant sequel when going 35 or above. If you rev the motor it’s very noticeable. The longer driven the louder it gets; increasing with rpm.
Replaced the belt, both idler pulleys and tensioner pulley. Removed belt and the noise is still there. AC stopped working but mechanic says AC compressor checked good. Has been working on it for nearly two weeks and now says that it may be the timing chain which is something he cannot repair due to the time and depth of the work.
Already $1000.00 and not able to drive long distance because I don’t know if it’s something that will leave me on the side of the road. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
