Hey, I just have a question....? Do you mean REAL sweet potatoes, or are you talking about yams? Most people in this country don't know the difference, sad actually. Like when you hear about a "Sweet Potato Pie," they aren't using sweet potatoes, they use yams. I want to start a movement on this subject!! LOL J/k. But seriously which one are you talking about.
YAM and Sweet Potato are interchangeable, I think.
I never thought about combining them with regular potato's though...
On thinking about it -
I wonder what french fries made out of Yams/Sweet potatoes would be like?
What kind of seasoning would be good on them, rather than salt?
"Sweet Pomme Frite's" ???

My boyfriend chose that avatar for me, go_racing84.
And we used yams, reddevilf150.
And GreyWolf sweet potato/yam french fries are great! I went to some smal resturant a little ways away and ordered a large(I love yams). And they served them with homemade buttermilk ranch. They were great but expensive.
And I wouldn't know what other seasoning to use other than salt.I love salt so I add it to alot of things.Havn't explored a replacement for it.
