Speedometer Problem
Hey Gang! Long time no see. My 96 chevy 6.5 bit the bullet so I am back to driving my 92 F-250 7.3 5sp 2wd.
Above about 40 MPH the speedometer jumps from whatever speed i'm driving back about 10-15 MPH less. Any Ideas? Truck has about 400K on it.
I had forgotten what a simple and efficient design the old 7.3's were. Wish they were still being made.

the 92 should use the VSS on the rear axle pumpkin...........
You could remove it and check for metal filings, damaged face, broken wires or VSS ohms must be between 900-2500 measured between the terminals.
