Dana or Ford

How do I tell whether I have a Dana rear end or a Ford design? I have the 4.30 gear ratio.

Dana 50 Front
Sterling / Visteon 10.5 Rear

I like my Sterling and hate my Dana 50 junk up front. Why did they not just put the Dana 60 up there? Actually, I would of loved to see front and rear Dana 70s.

FORD was trying to save a few bucks$$$ with the Dana 50. After the fact...they realized that the Dana 50 was not enough...and went with the Dana 60 mid-year '01 to current.

So this whole time I thought I had a DAna 50 when in fact I have a Dana 60. I am a dumb ***. I cannot believe I let this one slip by. I am going out to my truck to investigate. As you know I have an '02.
