i'm with sierraben on that one- i've used them lots of times to pull motors with no problems- makes ya wonder when it's about 4feet off the ground though doesn't it?!?!? Oh yeah, if you can hold all your bills down with a intake i'm jealous- I gotta use and intake too.... with the heads still attached!!! LOL

Fordbeast_80: Dont use a 428 crank and 360 pistons, you'll wind up with the pistons above the deck at TDC. Use 390 truck pistons.
On lifting the engine, I usually put a bolt in the accessory hole at each end of the cylinder head, and put a chain across. Somehow, I just dont trust those four intake bolt threads...

BTW - I would not lift the engine by the intake, it just doesn't seem right.
