98 B2500 Cel
1998 Mazda B2500 2.5L 4 Cylinder
Have had a Check Engine Light problem for some time. Went to the AutoZone to have the code read. P1401. Points to the EGR. Have changed the EGR Valve, EGR Valve Sensor and the Bypass Valve. After changing these and having the codes erased from the computer, the CEL is still coming on. It will stay off once reset until I shut truck down and then restart it and it comes back on. Of course the folks at AutoZone say the next thing to change will be the Oxygen Sensors. My thinking is that if they need to be changed wouldn't the code reflect that? Still coming up with the P1401. Any thoughts as to where I would go from here? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
