shift problems please help me ########
Last night I stopped at the bank put my 3l 92 in park and it did not go into park I had no resistance in the shift lever. I have tried to reset it according to my hayes manual but no luck. UNder the dash were the shift lever is connected to the line for the tranny seems to have some play in it. I saw that there was only one torx bolt on it. Might this be the problem Please help me as I have to get to owrk today and to the bank .

While not running, shift between gears and look under the driver side of the vehicle and see if the selector on the side of the trans is moving correctly. (HAVE THE E-BRAKE ON SO IT WILL NOT ROLL ON YOU)
Also while under there pull the hose to the modulator on the passsenger side and see if there is tranny fluid in it.
Also what condition is your tranny fluid (red? brown? black?) and level of fluid? (low or high?)
