Factory Locker
Does any one know if Ford may have any future plans for a factory locking differential???
Or at least a plan to overhaul the LS?

I think the superduties might be getting one if ford goes through with that special edition version that isto compete with the powerwagon, it was in an issue of peterson's a few months back.

well i would not want one. not when you can get a real real good one for under 700.00 installed.

But you can't beat a factry warranty though.


no but a aftermarket unit will be just as reliable if not more. detroit locker has a nice warranty.

The one mustang70 is refering to is a Detroit Locke Electrac. Doesn't get a whole lot better than that.
It was the Skunkworks f350 hoss. Peterson's october 2005.

ford had plans for installing and offering a full warranty on a detroit... the detroit electrac to be exact

what happend to that though? Plans fall through? Or is it still a possibility? Is that an electric locker where u have to enguage it, its not auto?

Yeah its electric, same thing as the arb air locker, only uses electricty instead of air. I think that we will see that truck for sure in the next year or two as ford needs something like that in the lineup as it would sell for sure.

Has anyone thought of a use for jeeps yet? Other than covering up oil stains on a driveway?
