Heater ID

Gentlemen,

Over the weekend I was scrounging parts and came upon this heater. Ipulled it out of a 1951 F3 (??) The truck had 8 lug hubs front and rear and had the longer bed on it. The cab did not have the fress air tube that enters the cab on the passenger side.
To me this heater looks like it is a generic aftermarket accessory. Can someone identify this for me? Is it worth messing with? any opinions?

Thanks
Bobby

Looks like a 51-52 Recirculating heater.

Thanks guys
So it looks like it was supposed to be there? Were these factory installed or dealer installed? I guess it doesnt make a difference. How much of a difference is there between this heater and the heater on the trucks that have the fresh air kit? Is it just some additional ductwork that goes between this heater and air intake or is it a different heater altogether?

I have to go out of town this week so I won't have a chance to check if the blower motor works or the core hold pressure.

Thanks again

Bobby
