MSD multiple spark discharge it's basicly gives a high power charge thats burn's off most all the fuel in the cylinder thus better performance and not just at high rpms.Had one on an old mavercik grabber i had loved it never had any problems with it either
A coil loves voltage its the old style points that couldn'd handle it. Systesm like MSD work two ways. One is to produce multiple sparks throughout 3,000 RPM. Above 3,000 RPM, there isn't enough time to fire the plug more than once so there is only a single spark, but that spark lasts for 20 degrees of crankshaft rotation.
Below 3,000 RPM, even if there are four or six sparks, the sparks always last for 20 degrees as well, ensuring complete combustion of the fuel mixture at any RPM. Each Ignition produces full energy, long duration spark(s) throughout the entire RPM range of your engine. A special transformer steps up the input voltage within nanoseconds and is then stored in a large capacitor.
When the ignition is triggered this capacitor instantly releases all of this energy so the primary voltage is packed with 470 volts no matter what the RPM. Every spark, even each multiple spark, is full of 110 milliJoules of spark energy to ensure complete combustion of the fuel mixture. This inceases both horsepower and fuel mileage.
