Not familiar with the 61 I.D/VIN tag location or designation. Should be a 'letter' to designate the color. If there is no letter then perhaps the truck was a fleet sale. In the case of my 65 F100 there is no color index/code on the VIN tag because the truck was purchased by Pacific Gas and Electric and painted brown. If you post the VIN perhaps more knowledgeable member can provide info.

I was having brain-fade. The color code *is* on the tag.
