Diff between Scosche FD23B versus FD23 connector?

Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone knows what the difference between a Scosche FD23 from Walmart and a Scosche FD23B from everywhere else...

Both are connector/adapters for the factory headunit harness on 2004+ trucks.

I got one from Walmart for $5 (versus $17 elsewhere) and noticed the wires on the one from Walmart are a bit smaller than Ford spec. For example, the +12V and ground are 16AWG on the factory harness whereas the Walmart FD23 looks like it's 18AWG at best. I'm tempted to replace those with some fatter wire...

The Walmart Scosche 'dynamat' is also thinner than the other Scosches sold elsewhere so that makes me wonder if the Walmart FD23 skimps on something...or is the FD23B really the same??

Any of you guys notice the same when you installed yours?

thanks
