vacuum hoses??

I have to do this myself. My 77 is going back together and I have a mystery Vacuam connection.
In the Public library, Reference Section, you'll find a rather large book on Emissions.
It'l have your Truck listed. With the Vacuam line schemetic.

My 78 300 was probably like yours. My Nieghbors 79 was a Nightmare of Hoses. Big difference.

My 78 had one large vacuam port for the Brakes. Two smaller Ports for the Vacuam Advance, and the Hot air Chimney in the Air cleaner.
Those two came out of the Carb Base.

The Manifolds crack on those 300 Sixes. Someone may have installed a manifold from a Wrecking yard, and you got some vacuam port's you dont need.
The Emissions testers are not supposed to test anything with blocked off ports. He'll send you to the Referee.
Watch out for the Emissions referee. If he sees something Blocked off, he will make you upgrade to the Emissions level of the Blocked off ports.
